Copper clip-on heatsinks
For improving the heat dissipation from transistors, Fischer Elektronik offer an appropriate solution by their new clip-on heatsinks made of copper. Suitable for TO218, TO220, TO247, TO248, SIP multiwatt and similar cases, these clip-on heatsinks, which can be directly soldered into the circuit board, are ideally suited. The integral clamping spring ensures a firm hold of the transistor on the heatsink. Copper is a material which allows a very efficient and a rapid rate of heat transfer. This ensures improved heat distribution in the heatsink itself and effective heat emission to the environment, especially in the case of transistors with high power density. These heatsinks are available as clip-on versions either for attachment without fasteners or for soldering into the circuit board, either horizontally or vertically. Coated integral fastening pins facilitate direct soldering. Rib height, modifications and special units can be designed to meet customers' specifications.
